A.S.C.E.T. - Avro Shackleton Charity Enterprise & Training

A.S.C.E.T. was first founded by Kevin Burrell and Roger Jarman supported by Tony Bove ( Friends and Fund raiser ) and Project Director of the Shackleton Preservation Trust ( SPT ) Squadron Leader John Cubberley .After an extensive research they decided to base the ASCET project alongside the refurbishment of Avro Shackleton WR 963 based at Coventry Airport and in the ownership of Mike Collett ( Air Atlantic ).ASCET have agreed in principal subject to terms and agreements being reached to purchase WR 963 from Mr Collett with the aim to return it to flying condition within 4 years. Only after many hours of dedicated work carried out by volunteers that make up the SPT team has the aircraft been saved from an uncertain fate. Tony Bove and John Cubberely are to join the main Charity board in support of the project. ASCET have invested in other areas of Coventry to expand further their influence for local community benifit. The website will contain the latest information regarding ASCET, S.P.T and progress on the Avro Shackleton

Mission Statement

Saffron security was established with the aim of assisting people to get into work by advancing their education using courses tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. We aim to assist our clients to reach levels of education well above their expectations by matching the courses to the individuals requirements; interests and needs. Teaching our clients how to learn increases their confidence and our team further enhances this by giving guidance and advice about how to approach and use other agencies and bodies. Our aim in all of this is to empower our clients and give them the tools and confidence to achieve their professional, personal and social goals. Avro Shackleton Charity Enterprise And Training was established as a business to enable the goals of the Shackleton preservation trust and Saffron security to be realised.
Using the combined knowledge and skills of all the groups we are able to secure the future for the trust whilst enhancing the range and nature of training available through our programme. The group offers training to whom so ever my require it in an ecological manner promoting recycling and social awareness, whilst raising funds urgently required to restore the Shackleton Aircraft WR963 to a workable airworthy state and back into the skies by ensuring full CAA Certification of Airworthiness.
